The word "diet" to most of us means something a person goes on to lose weight. However the word diet actually means the food we intake on a daily basis. So, we're all on a diet! They key is to ensure the diet is nutritional and balanced with all the food groups needed to promote a healthy lifestyle - and this can often be confusing.
The body needs energy to maintain life and health and the importance of food is very often overlooked with people leading such busy lives; convenience is often used as a quick fix. Unfortunately this can be very detrimental to our short and long term health and fitness and many of these foods are lacking the essential nutrients our bodies need.
